The Chamber Management Committee comprises volunteers from the Southern Downs who are active in business and community, elected each year by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. The 2019 executive committee are:

Julia Keogh (President)

Julia Keogh’s professional experience includes senior positions in the community services sector, leading teams through strength based strategies and strategic operational plans to achieve improved outcomes for some of the most vulnerable people throughout Queensland. In 2015, Julia was awarded the inaugural Women in Business Awards Downs Region ‘Community Dedication Award’.

A team member of WoW (Women of Warwick) Julia is also co-founder of both CNoW (Community Network of Warwick) and BNoW (Business Network of Warwick). Julia has held executive roles with several local community organisations in addition to operating her own commercial cleaning business.

Julia is a qualified Justice of the Peace, holds a Diploma in Community Services Coordination, accreditation in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, Solution Orientated Narrative Approaches and Principals, Cross Cultural Facilitation, Certificate IV in both Employment Services and Workplace Trainer/Assessor in addition to Queensland Disaster Management Coordination accreditation.

David Martin (Vice President)

Dave Martin is the owner/managing director of Southwest Wholesalers, an independent wholesale distributor, supplying high quality wholesale products across the Darling Downs.

Established in 1993 as a one-man vending machine operation servicing local business owners in Warwick, increasing demand saw the business steadily expand into the distribution of snack foods, drinks, packaging, confectionery and frozen foods, supplying quality products to local Cafe’s, Restaurants, Service Stations, Pubs & Clubs, Motels & Hotels, Hospitals, Sporting Clubs, and School Tuckshops.

Today, Southwest Wholesalers is the largest truly independent, family owned wholesale distribution company based on the Darling Downs.

Kevin Reynolds (Secretary)

Kevin Reynolds has had a wide range of experience in a number of different business sectors within the UK. A Chartered Engineer he has held senior roles in Marine, Animal Feed, Hard Landscaping, Rare Earths, Automotive Plastics Recycling and the Craft Beer industries.  The latter one as Managing Director of his own company producing bespoke canning lines to artisan breweries.

Moving to Australia in 2017, he has become heavily involved in Local Community Groups becoming Secretary of the Warwick Chamber of Commerce Inc in March 2019.

Kevin holds a Charter in both Engineering and Marine Engineering in addition to a Diploma in Business Management, along with a professional teaching qualification.  He is a Member of the Institute of Marine Engineers, Science & Technology.

Jane Pollard (Treasurer)

Jane Pollard has over 25 years of accounting and tax experience and is the owner of Catalyst Accounting and Tax. Having travelled extensively and lived in a variety of countries she has experienced a broad range of industry types, management styles and systems.

Her professional career began in public practice with Price Waterhouse in Sydney, NSW. Jane travelled and worked in the mining industry in Western Australia and Ghana, West Africa then for a winery in Griffith, NSW before choosing to return to public practice in 2004.

Jane is passionate about mentoring young entrepreneurs and supporting family owned businesses to thrive. With several large manufacturing clients, she has also developed a specialisation in this area. Jane speaks your language and is an excellent listener and considers it an honour to be the trusted financial advisor for her clients.
